Some are easy to create silent installers, and some (Creative Suite) are damn near impossible. Some download as MSI, some as EXE (to get the MSI, you have to run the EXE and dig into the hard drive to find the msi). ![]() Failing that, I may have to install, then uninstall photoshop in my master images.I know, its dirty.įrankly I am getting really tired of Adobe and their randomly designed installers. So, at this point I am trying to find an installer for the FLEXnet License server to push out first. If you push your new Virtual Photoshop 8 to a computer with no FLEXnet License service, the license errors return. Now while this gets the app sequenced, the fun isn't over yet. This gets the FLEXnet License service installed and runningĢ) Ensure the service is running, if it isn't running, force it started. What I had to do to get this sequenced is:ġ) BEFORE sequencing, install Photoshop 8 > reboot > Uninstall Photoshop 8. When Photoshop 8 installs, it also installs the FLEXnet License Service", which is what requires the reboot. I have come up with a solution, but it's really dirty.you have to throw best practice out the window. still some hope :)Īnd remember: fight the oil or our world will boil!!!! Maybe someone will make it to seq pse with app-v in the future. Also i think that adobe simply sucks in coding for windows. there is photoshop cs4 or cs5 (or what number it will be in future) for companies adobe would think?! i gave it up after hours of testing and resequencing. I didn't even know if there exists a volume license for this program, in fact that its mostly for home users and not for companies. I thought the main problem was, that it isnt a volume license key that i used for sequencing. But i still got the same licensing error after it. Ive tried a lot of things and also made a script which should boot the license service as admin (little tool RunAsPC) (even if the user hasn't this rights). It was App-V 4.5.2 not 4.6 but i got the same problem. I'm new in here! Im an IT Pro from a profession school campus in switzerland.
